The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has uncovered an unlawful maternity house allegedly concerned in baby trafficking, illegal medical observe, and impersonation in Usung Atiat, Abak Native Authorities Space of the state.
Spokesperson of the command, DSP Timfon John, who disclosed this in an announcement on Friday, March 21, 2025, stated operatives arrested one suspect and rescued seven pregnant girls in addition to 5 infants.
